Why Choose Us !
When dealing with the maintenance of any asset, the decision will come down to one of the three R’s: repair, replace, or retrofit. Choosing which option is best depends on a number of factors such as business goals, criticality to process, and the asset’s lifecycle relative to the project’s lifecycle.

A process chiller is a refrigeration system using halocarbon or ammonia refrigerants that provide cooling for a process or industrial application. A cooling circuit consists of the compressor(s), a condenser(s), thermal expansion valve, and evaporator(s), at a minimum. Together, these components remove heat from a process load to provide consistent setpoint temperatures 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Process chillers function in the most rugged environments and conditions unlike comfort cooling chillers.
Who uses a Process Chiller?
Process chillers are used in a variety of industrial applications:
- Plastics Industry: The plastics industry uses process chillers to reduce cycle times in injection molding and blow molding by regulating temperatures
- Baking Industry: The baking industry may use process chillers in their process of mixing. The chilled water from a water chiller may be used to allow longer mixing times which improves the final quality for any grade of flour.
- Food Industry: The food industry uses process chillers to cool any process such as chocolate manufacturing, vegetable processing, meat massagers/injectors and confectionary manufacturing.
- Pharmaceutical Industry: The heat from emollient vats needs to go somewhere. National Mechanical Services technicians help pharmaceutical companies save money by reducing the total manufacturing time, leading to cost savings in labor costs.
- Printing Industry: Process chillers can be used to regulate temperatures in presses and rollers which leads to reduction of stretching and bleeding. This cooling, in turn, decreases the time needed to print which improves efficiency and leads to higher quality products at a cost savings.
- Others that benefit from the uses of a process cooler include boat & airplane manufacturing, metal finishers, skating rinks, chemical industry, composite manufacturers, laser cutting machines and dry cleaners. Additionally, the United States government uses many for military applications.
The MRI chiller is a must for the medical industry to maintain one of the largest assets of revenue. Maintaining the system will reduce the risk of losing the costly helium loop that cools the magnets for the imaging section of the unit. An overlooked aspect of the MRI is the water bypass system, a backup when the chiller system fails. National Mechanical Services LLC will service all areas of the unit to ensure continued revenue from your MRI system.
Comfort cooling is, as it suggests, a system designed to bring comfort to the occupants. Customers and potential clients are less apt to close a contract in an uncomfortable environment. Allow National Mechanical Services LLC to help you bridge the deal with your partners and patrons by servicing your systems, lowering your humidity levels, and energy consumption.
Industrial chillers, similar to process chillers, perform the function of cooling an environment that is normally not considered for occupation. Petroleum companies are a large user of industrial chiller applications. The lack of proper planning and maintenance can have costly and even catastrophic results. National Mechanical Services LLC will work with plant personnel to maintain, service, and repair your industrial chiller to avoid downtime and life safety issues.
